Minnesota Twins starter Ervin Santana is coming off one of the best pitching performances in the team’s recent history.
But just one day after his 2-hit, complete game shutout against Oakland, a report on ESPN.com notes there appears to be some growing interest in the 33-year-old among teams who need some pitching help.
Santana’s ERA has dropped over his last four outings as he has started to regain the form the Twins hoped when they signed him prior to the 2015 season.

According to the Star Tribune’s LaVelle E. Neal, Texas – where the Twins open a weekend series tonight – is one team that has scouted him recently.
But others appear to be interested as well.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Blue Jays, Royals, Orioles, Marlins and Cardinals all had scouts in attendance to watch Wednesday’s pitching matchup between Santana and Oakland’s Sonny Gray.
Major League Baseball’s non-waiver trade deadline is Aug. 1.
MLBTradeRumors notes that Santana still has about $6.5 remaining on his salary in 2016 and would be owed more than $13.5 million in each of the next two seasons, plus has a $1 million buyout option in 2019.
