Here’s the word from ESPN’s Marc Stein.
“Wolves guard Ricky Rubio is hosting a charity hoops game on Sept. 24 at the Target Center in Minneapolis called “Rubio’s Hoop For Hope” in honor of his mother, Tona Vives, who died after a long battle with cancer in May. All proceeds to benefit “A Breath for Hope Lung Foundation.” Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Kenneth Faried and Ronny Turiaf amongst the committed participants while more commitments from NBA players and other celebrities are expected.”
