Vikings outside linebacker Chad Greenway is having what he called the best season of his NFL career, and on Sunday it could get even better.
With 145 tackles this season, Greenway is ranked second in the league, behind the 151 tackles tallied by Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers. Greenway told the Pioneer Press that he would love to finish first. Greenway hopes he will be able to overtake Kuechly in the all important contest with the Green Bay Packers this Sunday.
Greenway credits Coach Leslie Frazier with the late season success the Vikings are enjoying. He told the Pioneer Press that the team’s improvement under Frazier’s leadership means his coach deserves consideration to be NFL coach of the year.
In addition, Greenway was selected as the winner of the 2012 Korey Stringer Good Guy Award from the Twin Cities media.
