If you can’t look to the Twins for optimism, and you can’t, there’s nothing wrong with looking to the minors for some positive vibes.
There’s plenty of those today, with Baseball America releasing it’s midseason prospect rankings, and two Twins ranking in the top three in all of baseball according to the scouting giant.
Byron Buxton, who has been tearing the cover off the ball even after his promotion to high A Fort Myers, has posted multi-hit games in five of his first 10 contests with the Miracle.
Miguel Sano is ranked number three, with BA calling his power the best in the minors. Sano is hitting only .205 after his promotion to Class AA New Britain, but has six home runs in 25 games, and now has 22 in 81 games this season between New Britain and Fort Myers.
Alex Meyer, who was acquired from the Nationals for Denard Span in the offseason, also made the top 50, checking in at #32.
