The Timberwolves improved to 4-1 with a 96-94 win over the Pacers Friday night at Target Center. Minnesota led by three before Indiana’s George Hill tied the game with a three pointer with 3.8 seconds left. The Wolves came right back to win it on a last second layup by Chase Budinger.
Brandon Roy started the game but didn’t come out of the locker room after halftime. And it’s never a good sign when Roy’s sore knees are already giving him trouble just five games into the season.
Minnesota also played without J.J. Barea. He has a mid-foot sprain and isn’t expected to join the team on the upcoming road trip.
