Minnesota Timberwolves 88
Milwaukee Bucks 106
The Milwaukee Bucks took their preseason game with the Timberwolves to Madison, Wisconsin, Tuesday night. The results are not likely to make the Wolves yearn for a return to Wisconsin’s capital city. The fans gave Minnesota players the business, while the Bucks gave the Timberwolves their fifth loss in their six preseason contests.
Three things to know:
1) Quarter 3 was the charm for Milwaukee
During the third stanza, the Bucks turned a two-point game into a 20-point blowout. They scored 35 points in that quarter, led by Michael Carter-Williams’ 11. For the game, Khris Middleton led the Bucks with 17 while Carter-Williams added 16. The Wolves were led by Shabazz Muhammad with 18 points in less than 26 minutes on the floor. Gorgui Dieng added 15.
2) Tyus Jones was booed mercilessly
It appears that basketball fans in Madison have not forgiven Timberwolves rookie Tyus Jones for what he did to their University of Wisconsin Badgers in last season’s NCAA championship game. They took every opportunity to boo the former Duke University star. They also razzed fellow Minnesota rookie Karl -Anthony Towns, whose University of Kentucky team suffered its only loss of the season to the Badgers at the Final Four.

3) Jabari Parker vs. Andrew Wiggins
It didn’t happen. The matchup between two of basketball’s heralded young stars is much anticipated. But Parker is still rehabbing from January knee surgery. SB Nation says Bucks coach Jason Kidd is eyeing a November return for Parker, though. He’s said to be practicing and making good progress.
