Brett Favre saw his display locker in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio for the first time on Friday.
Along with a Green Bay Packers jersey and helmet and some other artifacts sits a Vikings jersey, and while Favre thought the display was pretty cool, he knew it wouldn’t be popular with Packers fans.

“Green Bay fans probably don’t like the Vikings jersey,” Favre told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. But Favre added that he didn’t have any knowledge that the Vikings jersey would be included either.
Favre, of course started at quarterback for the Packers for 16 seasons, before he retired, then un-retired and was traded to the New York Jets. After one season in New York, Favre finished his career with two seasons in Minnesota.
According to the Star Tribune, Pete Fierle the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s vice president of communications says players don’t have any input on what goes into their lockers. He adds that the Vikings jersey on display was worn by Favre when he broke Jim Marshall’s NFL record for consecutive starts.
Favre led the Vikings to the 2009 NFC Championship game in New Orleans – throwing for more than 3,900 yards and 33 touchdowns that season. As ESPN’s Jason Wilde notes, it’s a year Packer fans would like to forget.
So how do they feel about being reminded of that?
“(Expletive) the Vikings,” one fan in Packers gear said to the Journal Sentinel. “Why did they have to put that in there? (Expletive) the Vikings.”
