The Minnesota Timberwolves introduced shooting guard Brandon Roy at a Target Center news conference Tuesday afternoon. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but multiple media reports say the 28-year-old three-time All-Star agreed to a two-year deal worth $10.4 million.
Roy says he’s excited to resume his career in Minnesota. “I wanted to be a part of a team that was good and that I could step in and help them take that next step. It’s not a situation where I want to be a tenth man. I want to be able to go out and work and be a big part of the team taking the next step,” Roy said.

Six years ago, the Wolves immediately sent Roy to Portland for Randy Foye.
Minnesota is taking a bit of a gamble on Roy. He’s returning to the NBA after knee problems forced him to leave the game before the 2011-12 season.
