The red hot Houston Rockets defeated the Timberwolves 107-92 at Target Center Monday night. Minnesota led by five points late in the third quarter, but was outscored 42-22 over the rest of the game. Kevin Love finished with 39 points and 12 rebounds.
Ricky Rubio finished with 12 assists, but scored only six points on 2-10 shooting. Luke Ridnour (17) and Derrick Williams (11) were the only players to join Love in double-figure scoring.
Kevin Martin had his way with the Wolves’ defense, scoring 31 points — 19 of which came in the first half. Guard Kyle Lowry had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double.
The Rockets have won seven in row. The win gives Houston eight straight wins at Target Center.
