A month ago, city leaders and football fans alike were giddy about a proposed RyanCompanies development in the Downtown East neighborhood in Minneapolis that would revamp the area next to a new Vikings stadium.
Now Ryan may be hatching even bigger plans than the $400 million project announced with city leaders, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Citing a Finance & Commerce story, the gist of a new report that details city documents that give a “maximum development scenario for Ryan and what it calls the “East Village.”
On top of the 1.1 million square feet of office space and hundreds of rental units (and a big park) already mapped out on land currently filled by parking lots and the Star Tribune building, the full-bore plan would add another 1.4 million square feet of office space and a 150-room hotel, says the Biz Journal.
