Five national architectural and engineering firms have submitted their visions for a new $975 million Vikings stadium to replace the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis.
The finalists include Kansas City-based Populous, formerly known as HOK Sport, the company that designed new homes for the Minnesota Twins, Wild and University of Minnesota football team, the Star Tribune reports.
The others:
AECOM, a designer of CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.
Ewing Cole, designer of MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Jets and Giants.
HKS Inc., designer of the $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium
HNTB Corp., designer of the $1.2 billion Santa Clara, Calif., stadium under construction for the San Francisco 49ers.
