It has been an eventful offseason for Anthony Edwards as he’s changed his jersey number, is playing for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup and has vowed to “kill everybody” in order to become a top player in the NBA next season.
But before Edwards attempts to forge his own path to superstardom, he has his own idea about the greatest players in NBA history.
In a recent interview, Edwards was asked for his five top players of all time. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Allen Iverson and Kevin Durant all made the cut but there was a glaring omission: LeBron James.

James is one of the greatest players in NBA history as a four-time NBA champion, four-time MVP, six-time All-Defensive team selection, 19-time All-Star and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
Jordan, Bryant, O’Neal, Iverson and Durant are all among the best to ever lace up shoes as an NBA player, but it appears the only reason Edwards left LeBron off his list is because Durant is his favorite player of all time.
The problem is that James has a history of making his opponents pay for slights like this with former Memphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks becoming the most recent example after punching James in the groin during last year’s playoffs.
That said, while Edwards was dunking all over Germany on Sunday, LeBron was watching and was impressed by the “Ant Man.”

In the end, it’s a simple conversation to fill time before Edwards tries to lead the Timberwolves to three straight playoff appearances for the first time since they made eight straight trips from 1997 to 2004.
