A poor night at the plate for the Twins batters was compounded by another questionable Emilio Pagan appearance as the Twins fell 4-1 in Atlanta Mon
Sonny Gray kept one of the hottest lineups in baseball fairly quiet through six and two thirds before Marcell Ozuna added the Braves’ second run of the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh.
Rocco Baldelli pulled Gray after a botched infield single allowed Michael Harris II to reach base safely. Pagan, thrust into the kind of high-leverage situation in which he struggles, gave up the two-run blast to Acuna four pitches later.
Once again Twins hitters struggled seeing the ball, striking out 12 times, with starting pitcher Spencer Strider recording ten Ks. Joey Gallo provided the Twins’ only score of the night with his 13th home run of the season.

The Twins and Braves continue their their three game series Tuesday night with a 6:20p.m. first pitch on TBS. Joe Ryan and Bryce Elder are set to take the mound for Minnesota and Atlanta.
