Minnesota Twins 0
Kansas City Royals 7
The Twins are still winless on the season after another loss to the Royals Saturday.
Minnesota failed to score a run, committed two errors and turned to their bullpen earlier than expected.
1. Franchise record
With the loss tonight, Minnesota has officially had their worst opening start to a season.
GAME: Royals 7, Twins 0. 0-5 start worst in Twins history. Need to avoid sweep on Sunday.

2. Off night for Escobar
Eduardo Escobar has arguably been the Twins best player. Tonight was a night he would like to forget as his two errors in the fifth inning were gut punching.
His first error came when he booted a potential double-play ball giving Kansas City runners on first and second. Later in the inning with the bases loaded, Escobar made a costly throwing error which allowed another run for Kansas City.
Escobar's nightmare inning continues. Grab's Alcides' soft liner, tries to double Orlando off first. Throw is low, trickles away from Mauer.

3. Strikeouts piling up
Minnesota struck out nine times tonight and failed to produce a single run going 0-5 with runners in scoring position.
Minnesota struck out 49 times coming into tonight and are on track to break the MLB record for team strikeouts.
If you're wondering the most strikeouts by a team in a season (offense). Baseball Almanac says it's the 2013 Astros: 1,535. #mntwins
