Bud Grant has already been so many things. He was a professional football player, a Hall of Fame coach, an avid outdoorsman, and now garage saler extraordinaire.
Grant is back with his 12th garage sale at his home in Bloomington. The annual May soiree kicked off Wednesday evening and will continue both Thursday and Friday as well – leading right up to the legendary coach’s 89th birthday.
Wednesday evening the crowd was lined up and waiting for the opportunity to rummage through Grant’s collection of outdoor gear, artwork, movies and of course some unique and even one-of-a-kind Vikings memorabilia.

Grant’s garage sale draws Vikings fans and many others from across Minnesota, but some come from much further. Vikings.com notes that Ron Rogers made the 935 mile drive from Dallas, Texas, just to be at Grant’s garage sale.
“I actually tweeted at Bud, and he responded and said they were going to have the sale, and I made plans to come up here,” Rogers said as he held two throwback Vikings helmets. “I’ve always wanted to meet him.”
Grant announced the sale on his Twitter account just over two weeks ago and since has been previewing all kinds of items that he’d have up for sale. Everything from classic Vikings gear, to Randy Moss apparel is available.

Grant is even offering autographs for $25 per item and contrary to the above Tweet, checks are being accepted.
There aren’t many garage sales around the state that the media will line up to go and see, in fact there may be just one.
