The Vikings beat Houston 31-13 yesterday, but it looks like they have lost another offensive lineman for some significant time.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed during his press conference Monday afternoon that right tackle Andre Smith will have surgery Tuesday to repair an injury to his triceps. Zimmer said the team will place Smith on injured reserve.
Smith signed a one-year deal with Minnesota to help bolster the offensive line during, but now he too has been caught up in the injuries that continue to hamper the group.
Andre Smith will have triceps surgery tomorrow and will go to IR. Mike Zimmer also said it doesn't like like Mike Harris will play in 2016.

It’s just the latest in a string of injuries that have hit the Vikings offense. Minnesota has already lost Teddy Bridgewater (knee), Adrian Peterson (knee), and Matt Kalil (hip) for a significant portion of the season.
In addition to those injuries, Pro Football Talk notes that Alex Boone has been banged up and that Brandon Fusco left yesterday’s game because of a concussion. He didn’t return.
Zimmer added that the Vikings worked out Jake Long Monday, but the team hasn’t signed anyone to Smith’s spot as of yet.
