Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has a simple message — a message he says he often delivers — to quarterback Christian Ponder.
“I tell him all the time, you have to be THE guy,” Allen told CBS’s Jim Rome Thursday.
Allen also mentioned he’s not just satisfied with making the playoffs — and having a great signal caller is the key to everything.
“We got to make some noise and try to push for a Super Bowl,” he said. “Teams that historically win championships … they have consistent play from the quarterback position.”
