Former Timberwolves guard Alexey Shved left the USA in 2015, and headed back to his native country of Russia.
Despite struggling in the NBA, Shved is lighting it up on the court over there with Steph Curry-like numbers.
He was recently awarded the MVP of the regular season, averaging 23 points and 5.5 assists while making over 40 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Shved signed with the Russian club Khimki Moscow on a three-year deal after last playing for the New York Knicks. The deal made him the highest paid basketball player outside of the U.S., according to Fox Sports.

Well that wasn’t the case at all, as the guard played just two seasons with the Wolves, averaging 7 points per game while shooting a putrid 35 percent from the floor.
