Adrian Peterson made a guest appearance on ESPN’s “NFL Live” recently and said he would be a good fit with a team he spent nearly a decade dominating the Green Bay Packers.
“I’ve mentioned Houston a few times. I feel like Green Bay wouldn’t be a bad look as well. Carolina. There’s some options out there. Miami …. down there in St. Louis, that’d be a good look too with Todd Gurley,” Peterson said.
For starters, the Rams moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles, so if he wants to play with Gurley he’ll need to break out Google Maps to get there.
Peterson, 33, has more rushing yards (1,779) against the Packers than any other team he’s faced in his 10-year career, and he’s done it just 17 regular season games.
Green Bay seems to be pretty set at running back with Ty Montgomery, Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, and Peterson has yet to prove that he can be a receiving threat in a pass-first offense like Green Bay’s.
The future Hall of Fame running back spent last season with the Saints and Cardinals, finishing with 529 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. He was released by Arizona in March and has yet to land with a new team.

Peterson says his numbers were down because he wasn’t given a chance in New Orleans and a neck injury slowed him in Arizona.
His message to interested general managers: “I stay ready. Even when people doubt me. I’m a hard worker. I don’t allow anyone to outwork me.”
“I still have my eyes and vision on winning a championship,” he added. “When I’m healthy, I’m definitely one of the best.”
Peterson has long said its his dream to play for his hometown Houston Texans, and on Thursday he got some support from a Texans running back.
“It would be good to have him join us, just his leadership, seeing the things he’s done in previous years, that I feel like I could probably learn from him,” Lamar Miller said, according to Pro Football Talk. “It would help us out as a team.”
