Will Rick Adelman coach the Timberwolves next year?
He tells the Star Tribune his decision will come sooner than later.
As soon as the season ends Wednesday, he’ll first attend to the health of his wife, Mary Kay, who is recovering from seizures suffered earlier this year.
When Adelman gets answers on that front, he’ll then decide if he’s coming back.
As for Monday night’s loss to Utah, Adelman says his team didn’t come ready to play. The Jazz beat the Wolves’ 96-80 to stay alive in the NBA playoff race. The Wolves could have ended Utah’s season with a victory.
“I thought we should have had better effort,” Adelman said.
Adelman was also asked to compare this year’s team with the 2011-12 edition. Last year, the Wolves dropped 13 of their final 14 games. This spring, Minnesota has gone 7-8 in their past 15 games while playing without All-Star Kevin Love.
Adelman: “This group is really fun to be around. If one thing has been great, it has been their attitude.”
