If you haven’t heard, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is definitely one of us. From his backstory at Minnesota State-Mankato to cheering in his house after a positive COVID-19 test last fall, there’s little doubt that Thielen bleeds purple.
But if there was any question, Thielen created more evidence on the Golf.com Subpar podcast.
While going over the details of his golf game, the subject turned to Lambeau Field. Like a true Minnesotan, Thielen’s opinion of the home of the Green Bay Packers was less than flattering.

“There’s nothing better than leaving Lambeau with a victory,” Thielen said. “There’s literally nothing better…The whole stadium’s not nice. There’s nothing fancy about it. It’s bleacher seats.”
Home to some of the NFL’s most iconic moments such as Randy Moss’ coming out party in 1998 and the “Minnesota Moon” incident in 2004, Lambeau Field is one of the most historic venues in the NFL.
For all of the history that has been packed into Lambeau, it lacks some of the modern amenities that U.S. Bank Stadium has, including the cold, hard bleachers that line the stands, which let’s face it, have seen better days.
That said, there’s also the argument that a single row of bleachers at Lambeau has more character in them than any of the billion-dollar monoliths recently built in recent years – in Minneapolis, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles etc etc.
Which is why Thielen’s words haven’t gone down well with the Packers faithful, who are already dealing with the fact their quarterback no longer wants to be there, only to suffer the ignominy of a Vikings receiver piling on.
Adam Thielen has been added to the list. You don’t want to be on my list

Adam thielen is trash and gets Mickey Mouse yards in blowouts no one cares what he or anyone from the Vikings has to say

I’m not and haven’t ever dissed US Bank Stadium. I’ve toured it myself 2 years ago. Loud environment, cool design. But Adam Thielen throwing shade at Lambeau like it isn’t the most storied Stadium in all of sports is just disrespectful.

For what it’s worth, the Vikings are 2-1-1 in their last four trips to Lambeau Field and more victories could be on the way depending on the final resolution in the Aaron Rodgers saga.
Is Thielen wrong that Lambeau Field is a crappy stadium? Maybe, maybe not.
Is it funny that he’s pissed off Packers fans? Undoubtedly.
