The Maroon and Gold of the Golden Gophers men’s hockey team could be well-represented at the 2013 USA World Junior Championships.
Don Lucia will coach the team, and five of his players have a chance to make the team.
Sophomore defenseman Brady Skjei, along with recruits defensemen Tommy Vannelli and Mike Brodzinski, and forwards Taylor Cammarata and Hudson Fasching were all invited to the evaluation camp later this summer.
Skjei finished with just three points during his freshman season at the University of Minnesota.
Among the recruits, Fasching is the most notable as he’s been in the spotlight since his freshman year at Burnsville High School. He is currently ranked 70th among North American players in this summer’s NHL Draft.
