Rick Spielman traded up from the 48th pick to the 41st in April’s draft to make Dalvin Cook the Vikings first pick of the 2017 class.
He is now the final member of Spielman’s 2017 crop to sign their respective deals.

Before the deal was announced, Cook spoke with the media after Wednesday’s OTA session and indicated a contractual agreement might be “pretty close”.
“I’m excited about [the contract], but I’m just playing football. I’m just going to let my agent and organization take care of it. But I’m very excited, it might be pretty close, so you know I look forward to it. You can’t let it linger with you. You have to come out here and still play football. That’s the key right there, coming out here and playing football. Let the business take care of itself.”
Within hours of the conclusion of OTA’s, the announcement came out over Twitter. Since then, the terms of the deal have also been announced.
#Vikings RB Dalvin Cook received a four-year, $6.35 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $2.76 million.
