The state-of-art practice headquarters of the Minnesota Vikings in Eagan will be home to five high school football games this fall.
TCO Performance Center and TCO Stadium will be site one game in September, October and November. The three matchups feature:
- Sep. 28: Eagan vs. Farmington at 7:30 p.m.
- Oct. 12: Prior Lake vs. Lakeville North at 7:30 p.m.
- Nov. 9/10: State tournament quarterfinal games
Eagan and Prior Lake will be the home teams for the first two games, and then six teams that qualify for the state tournament will be matched up in three separate games on Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10 as part of the quarterfinal round of the tourney.
The Minnesota State High School League’s John Millea tweeted that it’s safe to assume the state tournament games will feature teams from Class 6A and 5A.
“High school football is a unifying and long-standing tradition across our country,” Minnesota Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman said in a release. “We are honored to host high school football games at our new TCO Performance Center facility. The lessons and values learned playing high school football extend well beyond the playing field. The game of football creates bonds and relationships that last a lifetime.”
TCO Stadium has a seating capacity of 6,000 and can be expanded to 10,000 if necessary.
