Old man hockey hasn’t caught up to ageless wonder Jaromir Jagr just yet.
Jagr, 43, scored a pair of goals – including the game winner 8:52 into the third period – to lead the Florida Panthers to a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild Sunday night in Sunrise, Florida.
As good as Jagr was in the game, his performance was probably second best compared to Florida goaltender Al Montoya, who stopped 39 of 40 shots and kept Minnesota at bay on a night the Wild went 0-for-4 on the power play.
Jason Zucker scored Minnesota’s lone goal.
The Wild fell to 1-1-1 on a four-game road trip that wraps up Tuesday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
