On the day after Christmas the Gophers received validation from wide receiver recruit Dredrick Snelson that he was still planning on playing at the University of Minnesota next fall.
Yes I'm still committed to Minnesota….Nothing's changed.

A couple of weeks have since passed and it appears Snelson, a 4-star recruit, could be changing his mind. According to Scout.com, Snelson has booked visits to Wisconsin, Maryland and Miami, although he tweeted that he was no longer making an official visit to the Badgers.
Scout’s Allen Trieu told the Pioneer Press that he believes there is a very good chance Snelson winds up playing for Maryland, along with Elijah and Elisha Daniels, twin brothers who also withdrew their commitment from the Gophers over the weekend.
This recruiting process is crazy….

But will Snelson really flip his commitment?
“I’m still listening to other schools,” Snelson told Saturday Tradition in an article published Dec. 31. “But what’s it gonna take for me to flip? I have to be comfortable. The school has to be different. It has no be nothing like Minnesota.”
Snelson also retweeted Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jack Allison, who said Snelson “is close to coming to the U.”
Aye show my boy @D_Snelson2 some love , he's close to coming to the U 👀🙌🏻

In all, the Gophers have lost eight recruits and signed seven new recruits since Tracy Claeys took over for Jerry Kill as head coach, the Pioneer Press says.
Snelson is 4-star recruit who impressed at the Under Armour All-America Game.
