The NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana later this month will be appointment television for Gopher fans as four NFL hopefuls have been invited to the pre-draft event.
Linebackers Carter Coughlin and Kamal Martin, wide receiver Tyler Johnson and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. will all attended the combine. Only 337 prospects are invited to the combine, which will be held Feb. 24 through Mar. 3, with the NFL Draft happening April 23-25.
The coolest part about the foursome of Gophers going to the combine is that they all played high school football in Minnesota.
Coughlin was a star pass rusher at Eden Prairie, Martin played quarterback for Burnsville, Johnson was a quarterback at Minneapolis North and Winfield Jr. also started his high school playing days at Eden Prairie before moving to Texas.
All four were part of Minnesota’s 2016 recruiting class.
