The defending NFC North champion Minnesota Vikings aren’t getting much respect from the national media in terms of who’s picking them to win the division again in 2016.
Three of four divisional writers from ESPN are predicting the Packers to reclaim the division crown over the Vikings. The lone wolf is Michael Rothstein, the Lions’ beat reporter.
“I’m higher than most on the Vikings, as I believe they are the best team in the NFC. The Vikings’ defense should be the best in the division. Minnesota has the best running back in the league and a potential star in Bridgewater. The makeup of the Vikings is strong, and as long as Peterson continues to play at a level close to what he’s reached in the past, the Vikings have a good shot of going back-to-back in the division.”
Even Vegas is picking the Packers as 2-to-3 favorites to win the North. The Vikings have the second best odds at 9-to-4.
