This is pretty straight forward Wolves faithful.
We don’t remember what it’s like to be a part of the NBA playoffs anymore, so in this continuing series, we’ll live vicariously through the 2003-04 Minnesota Timberwolves, most likely once a week.
Last week, the Wolves pounded the Wizards for their first win in a span of six consecutive victories.
This week, Minnesota gets that sixth straight W, behind a massive night from the “Big 3”.
MINNESOTA 98, NEW YORK 92: In Latrell Sprewell’s first game back at Madison Square Garden after spending five seasons with the Knicks, Minnesota came out victorious after outscoring New York 9-3 to end the game.
Sprewell, Sam Cassell, and Kevin Garnett combined for 84 of Minnesota’s 98 points, with the rest of the Wolves going just 3 of 16 from the field.
The win was Minnesota’s sixth straight, their second-longest win streak of the year.
